I am a political and religion resercher with roots in a Coptic Christian family in Cairo, Egypt. I was active in the student and democratic movement at Ain Shams University and participated in protests against the Mubaraks regime. I was forced to flee Egypt after the expulsion of the Egyptian army because of my political activity to Sweden in 1990. I have studied at different universities in Sweden and England, among others Uppsala and Lund Universities. I am now a part-time researcher in religious dialogue issues at Lund University since 2000. I am the founder of Egyptson Group AB in Höllviken, Scandinavian (Swedish) Culture Center in Cairo, Swedish House in Cairo.
